Switch between organizations
Use the organization switcher
Section titled “Use the organization switcher”The organization switcher lives at the top of the sidebar. It lists every organization you belong to and marks the active one.
- Click the switcher to open the menu.
- Pick the organization you want to work in. The console reloads against the new active organization, and every dashboard page (applicants, workflow templates, branding, access) re-renders against the new context.
The switcher also exposes a Create action that takes you to Settings → Organization and a Manage action that opens the same page for member and invite management.
How the active organization is remembered
Section titled “How the active organization is remembered”Your active organization is stored on your session. When you sign in:
- If you have one or more memberships, the most recent active organization is restored. If the session has no active organization yet, the platform deterministically picks your oldest membership and sets it active so the dashboard always has a context.
- Picking a different organization in the switcher updates the session immediately and is honored on every subsequent request, including from other browser tabs after a reload.
Sidebar links and the active organization
Section titled “Sidebar links and the active organization”The sidebar switcher is the single source of truth for organization context. Every dashboard page reads the active organization from the session, not from a per-page selector. If you change the active organization from one page, navigating to another page picks up the new context without any extra action.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- The switcher shows no organizations. You are not yet a member of any organization. Create one from Settings → Organization or accept a pending invite.
- A page shows a “requires an active organization” notice. Pick an organization from the sidebar switcher and reload. If the switcher is empty, follow the previous step.
- I created an organization in another region and it’s missing here. Organizations are pinned to the region they were created in. Sign in to the matching region’s console to see them. See Data residency.
